Melcher-Dallas split another doubleheader Wednesday night as the boys notch their third straight win with an 86-26 victory but the girls lose 38-27.
The Saints’ boys notched another conference victory as they inch closer to .500 this season. It was another offensive show put on by Ryan Krpan and Lane VanderLinden. Krpan had a double-double as he had 29 points and 11 rebounds. Lane VanderLinden had 19 points in the victory. The win puts Melcher-Dallas at 7-8 on the season.
The shorthanded Saints’ girls lost their fourth consecutive game and their third without four of their starters. Kynser Reed led the way for Melcher-Dallas with 13 points and 12 rebounds in the loss. Melcher-Dallas’ record currently stands at 8-7.
Melcher-Dallas will play their fourth consecutive doubleheader in as many days as they will play against Colfax-Mingo at Twin Cedars High School tonight. The doubleheader will begin with the girls’ game tipping off at 6:00 PM.
