The All-City Speech Night with Pella Christian and Pella High has been rescheduled for this Friday at 6:00 pm on Eagle Lane.

The event will showcase all the 2021 Large Group Speech events of both Tulip City high schools in Pella. A free-will donation will be taken to be divided between both programs and audiences will be limited to households plus two individuals.

Pella High’s speech program is under the direction of Suzi Jones and Ashlee Whittington while Pella Christian High’s speech program is under the direction of Marlo Van Peursem, Lisa Van Gilst and Cory Van Gilst.

Both schools competed in January at their own schools in the Iowa High School Speech Association’s District Speech contest.

Pella Community has 12 events advancing to state out of 14 entries from their school. The PCHS speech team included 31 students and entered five speech events, with all five receiving Division I scores and advancing to the State competition to be held on Saturday.
