Widespread travel impacts will continue today due to a winter storm that brought moderate snow and heavy winds to the region Thursday.

Pella – 3″
Knoxville – 2″
Indianola – 3.5″

Arctic air settles into the region this weekend, with chances for “clipper” snow systems to bring light snowfall Saturday and Sunday. Wind chills will remain below zero starting Saturday through Friday of next week, dropping as low as 20 below zero at times; conditions in which frostbite and hypothermia can occur in as little as 30 minutes, especially without proper precautions for outdoor activity.
