The Norwalk basketball teams hit the road together tonight for one final time this season as the Warriors head to Grinnell for a Little Hawkeye Conference doubleheader.

It’ll be a tough test for a Norwalk girls team who is still in the hunt for a conference title. In order to do it, they’ll have to knock off a Tiger team who has dropped off after a solid start, and will be in search of redemption. It would be Norwalk’s third straight win in the series, something that hasn’t happened in nine years. The Warriors picked up a 65-61 win at home over a then-ranked Grinnell team, who has gone 3-4 since.

Meanwhile in the boys game, the Warriors will look to continue the momentum of a victory over Newton Tuesday night and pick up some speed heading into the 4A playoffs. While Norwalk handily beat the Tigers last time out, senior Evan Borst says it’s a physical squad that offers a battle every time.

Tonight’s games will air on the KNIA3 stream with Jon Mohwinkle and Denny Hanson calling the action. Pregame coverage begins at 6:00, with the opening tipoff from Grinnell High School at 6:15.
