The Central men’s basketball team will play its home opener today, as the Coe Kohawks make the visit to Kuyper Gymnasium. The Dutch are off to an 0-1 start after a road loss to Simpson on Wednesday, which was the team’s first game due to “health and safety protocols.” They’ll take on a Coe team that has had its fair share of cancellations and postponements, but is off to a 2-1 start, with a slim 84-82 win at Wartburg on Wednesday. Jon Mohwinkle will call the action on 92.1 KRLS with pregame coverage at 1:45, and the opening tipoff at 2:00.

Meanwhile the Central wrestling team will hit the road for the first time this season. They’ll head to Waverly for an American Rivers Conference triangular with Buena Vista and the hosting Knights. Action begins at 1:00 p.m.
