The second installment of property tax payments in Marion County are due soon. Treasurer Michaela Bigaouette reminds taxpayers that these statements were sent out last summer, and that those must be submitted by the end of next month.
“I tell people that you should receive your tax bill around the time of the state fair. Your tax payment comes with two detachable payment stubs, one for September and one for March. The reason is because we only bill once a year. When that second payment comes due in March, you will not get another statement. So if you have not paid your March 2021 tax installment, that is due by March 31st.”
Bigaouette reminds residents that the Treasurer’s Office remains open by appointment, and that payments can be made over the phone, through the mail, and most quickly and securely online.
