Indianola Boys Swimming Qualifies Seven Events to State
The Indianola boys swimming team qualified seven events to the state meet in their district qualifying meet Saturday afternoon at Southeast Polk High School. The state qualifiers included:
Nathan Pollard – 100 Butterfly, 100 Breaststroke (New school record)
Matt Coffelt – 500 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke (tied school record)
400 Freestyle Relay – Max Purvis, Matt Edgington, Matt Coffelt, Nathan Pollard
200 Freestyle Relay – Abram Wadle, Carson Boyle, Max Purvis, Bobby Shepherd
200 Medley Relay – Matt Coffelt, Nathan Pollard, Chance Yates, Abram Wadle (New school record)
Districts Coach of the year:

The state meet takes place next Saturday at the Linn-Mar High School Aquatic Center in Marion at noon.
Indianola Boys Basketball Blows Out Des Moines Lincoln
The Indianola boys basketball team led from start to finish in a Saturday non-conference contest against the Des Moines Lincoln Railsplitters, earning an 81-43 win. The Indians would dominate from the start, doubling-up Lincoln 22-11 after the first, then exploding for 29 points in the second quarter to hold a 51-27 lead. The Indians did not stop there, outscoring the Railsplitters 20-4 in the third, and coasting for their second victory in as many nights. Drew Kingery scored 31 to lead the Indians, as they improve to 12-6 on the season. They will next play Tuesday hosting Newton.
