On Friday, Vermeer Corporation partnered with Marion County Public Health and Premise Health, their direct health care partner onsite, to host their first vaccine clinic based on the current phase 1B, tier one orders set by the Iowa Department of Public Health.

“Today’s vaccination clinic is a great opportunity to use current supply provided to Marion County to vaccinate individuals who meet the specific orders, while also testing processes that will prepare for larger Points of Dispensing sites to vaccinate as more vaccine becomes available,” said Kim Dorn, Director of Marion County Public Health. “Community partnership will be key in vaccinating effectively in the weeks and months to come.”

Since March 2020, Vermeer team members have worked to respond to, and combat, COVID-19 by establishing and following protocols onsite, adjusting to working at home or in new areas where possible, practicing healthy behaviors inside and outside of work and establishing the Vermeer Response Team to provide resources for team members.

“The Vermeer team is dedicated to supporting the communities we serve,” shared President and CEO, Jason Andringa. “We’re proud to play a part in supporting our community in the fight against COVID-19. The Vermeer leadership team, and myself, have confidence in the vaccine. We are proud to use the talents and resources we have available at Vermeer to do the important work to bring this pandemic to an end.”

Vermeer Corporation is not hosting an open vaccination clinic. The public and community, including Vermeer team members, should not call or walk-in for vaccinations at Vermeer Corporation.
