Frigid temperatures will continue for the next week across the state of Iowa. Wind chills near and below zero are expected throughout the daytime over the next seven days. In the overnight and early morning hours, the air will become dangerous, feeling like it is between 10 and 20 below. Dr. Tim Yoder with Tri County Veterinary Clinic in Pella reminds all pet owners to take proper care of their animals and to ensure they stay warm during this cold stretch. Arctic air will be in place through early next week, with another major cooldown expected this coming weekend, with wind chill values as low as 30 below zero possible by Friday night.
