The Rotary Club of Knoxville has received a $5,600 grant from the Bayer Fund. The grant will support and fund curriculum on science, technology, engineering, and math literacy in Knoxville’s elementary schools. For the second year, the club will give three personalized STEM-related books to each 2nd grader.
Additionally, these funds will allow at least one book to be given to each city library in Bussey, Knoxville, Melcher-Dallas, Pleasantville, North Elementary and West Elementary libraries. Throughout the next three months, Rotary club members in Knoxville will visit the second grade classrooms in Knoxville to share their stories about careers in STEM-related fields.
