
One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash near the Mile Long Bridge at Lake Red Rock. According to the Iowa State Patrol, at approximately 6:30 Monday evening, a 2014 Dodge Ram driven by 82-year-old Richard Eugene Marshall of Knoxville was southbound on the bridge south of county road G-28 when it collided with a northbound 2005 Ford Escape driven by 57-year-old Gary Lynn Neal, also of Knoxville. Neal was killed in the collision. Richard Gene Marshall and his passenger 80-year-old Nancy Faye Marshall were injured and transported to Iowa Methodist. Knoxville Rural Fire Department, Knoxville Fire and Rescue, Pella Fire, Pella Ambulance, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the Iowa State Patrol, and possibly other agencies responded to the scene. The collision is under investigation
