The Knoxville School Board met in regular session Monday. They decided to remain on Tier 2 of the district facilities usage plan, and will make an exception for facilities being used for COVID-19 vaccination clinics. They awarded project bids to Central Steel, Inc., US Erectors, Sandstone Management and Caliber Concrete for structural steel, precast concrete, sitework, site utilities and concrete paving for the middle school construction project. The board also approved the 2021-2022 school calendar and registration fees, and moved the February 24th meeting to March 3rd. They also held an exempt session on negotiation strategies.
