The staff of the Pella Community School district received their first doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says by the end of the school day, more than 75% of their staff will have received the first of two shots providing protection against COVID-19. Ebeling says the initial plan was vaccinating high-risk employees only, but Marion County Public Health had enough supply to vaccinate all employees who opted in to do so. They will be back to complete the dose on March 10th.
