The Indianola School District held a vaccine clinic at Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary last week, vaccinating any elementary school teachers who wished to receive one. Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News the district is following the guidance from Warren County Health Services and appreciates the support from local partners.

“We’ve gotten some guidance from public health that those folks probably had the greatest impact on the workforce dealing with younger kids. We were able to have all of our elementary staff that wanted to get vaccinated with the exception of maybe a couple of people who had a conflict, to get that done last Friday. And actually at the end of the clinic there were several doses left so we put the call out to all staff and we were able to get those people over there and use all the doses.”

Sathoff also said the district will have another vaccine distribution clinic tomorrow for more teachers and staff who wish to receive one.
