According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, Warren County continues to see a minimal growth of COVID-19 cases in the county with 4,904 cases, a growth of 48 since the February 8th update. Active cases continue to fall in the area, down to 619 cases, the lowest number of active cases since mid-November.
Despite the slow growth of cases overall, January continues to be one of the deadliest months of the virus, with 67 deaths now caused by COVID-19, with 63 having the virus as the underlying cause, and four with the virus as a contributing factor. Nearly half of all deaths from the virus in Warren County have occurred since January 4th, and all but 14 have occurred since December 1st.
