The Simpson College women’s and men’s indoor track teams competed at Buena Vista Saturday, with the men finishing second with 87 points and the women ending third with 40 points. Freshman Audrey Arnold secured a third place in the 60-meter hurdles after reaching the finals, and was also sixth in the long jump and eighth in the 200 meters. On the men’s side, the Storm got first place finishes from senior Mason Spree in the weight throw and the shot put.
The Storm wrestling squad fell to Luther and Central in a triangular on their home mats. The Storm lost 29-16 to the Norse and 39-13 to the Dutch, with wins from Jakob Slavin in his first A-R-C match of the season with a 5-2 decision at 149, Robert Silva earned a technical fall at 157 pounds and sophomore Dalton Cockman followed with a major decision. Dylan McChesney also picked up his seventh win of the season.
