
The Tulip City basketball teams begin their postseason journey over the next week, starting with the Eagles girls in their final home game of the winter season.
Pella Christian (8-13) welcomes Pekin (10-9) for each school’s opener in the Class 2A Region 3 bracket. The Eagles are aiming to snap an eight game losing streak, with tonight’s winner advancing to a likely showdown with No. 3 West Branch Friday.
The Panthers have been on the postseason docket for the Eagles before, with the all time series favoring P.C. at 2-1, with the Eagles winning 2019 and 2011 matchups, while Pekin knocked off the Eagles in 2018.
