Melcher-Dallas’ boys basketball team was one-and-done in the playoffs as they got routed at North Mahaska 83-42.

The Saints finished the season 9-10 overall and 5-4 in Bluegrass Conference play. Steven Krpan led the way for Melcher-Dallas, scoring ten points. This was the final game for the careers of Steven and Ryan Krpan, Lane VanderLinden, and Gabe Enfield. The Saints never led in the loss.

Following the game, Melcher-Dallas Head Coach Jim Wells announced his retirement after 23 years of leading the Saints’ boys basketball program. Wells collected 215 wins during his long career.
