The playoff journey for the Pella girls came to an end as soon as it began, as they fell to Winterset 50-43 in the 4A Regional Opener heard live on 92.1 KRLS Wednesday.

A 10-1 run to open the 1st quarter by the Huskies, spurred by five Pella turnovers, put the road team Lady Dutch behind one of the top defensive teams in Class 4A. Head Coach Jerod Garland says the girls never found offensive flow, which was made difficult by the Winterset zone and falling behind early.

Pella was led by seven points from Anna Vander Wall and Faith Diers, and finish the 2020-21 season at 11-11, and say farewell to Diers, Madison Naig, and Annika Peterson from the senior class.
