According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, Warren County continues a slow growth of COVID-19 cases since the latest update on February 15th, with a growth of 43 cases for a total of 4,992 to affect the county since the beginning of the pandemic. Active cases continue to plummet in the county, down to 509 cases in the county, a drop of 67 since the latest update. Since the COVID-19 vaccine began to be distributed to the area in early January, active cases have dropped by nearly 300 in Warren County, with a peak of near 1,300 cases in late November.
The Iowa Department of Public Health shows one Long Term Care Outbreak in the county, and has two additional deaths from the virus since the latest update. Warren County has had 69 deaths overall, with 64 having the virus as the underlying cause, and five with the virus as a contributing factor.
