Absences remain low in the Pella Community School District. According to the latest data from the school’s Coronavirus database, 1.2% of students missed class on Thursday, and .4% of kids were in quarantine due to a close contact related to COVID-19. The district went the whole week without a confirmed positive test. Staff absences are also low, with .6% out of the building for a COVID-19 related reason. The latest weekly report from Central College showed one positive case of COVID-19 from February 8th through the 14th, with 14 individuals quarantined for possible exposure. Since the beginning of the spring semester on January 18th, six positives were confirmed and 56 total were separated.
