The City of Indianola will be making improvements to the Moats Park restrooms later this year, as part of the city capital improvement plan. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the improvements are part of a years long project that will help update longtime city facilities.
“The original facility is close to 70 years old. This has been planned for within the budget, our engineers have worked with going through some cost estimates then we will go through the public bidding process as we are required to. We are looking forward to the continued modernization of city facilities.”
The council and city staff will go through the bidding process throughout the next several weeks, with the project expected to be complete later this year.
