The Central volleyball team got past Simpson Tuesday evening in Indianola in a five set thriller. The match started with a dominant 25-12 Simpson victory, but Central fought back to tie the match at one apiece with a 25-21 win. The Storm returned the favor with another closely contested set in a 25-23 win. The Dutch overcame a 2-1 deficit with two straight wins to close it, 25-22 and 15-9.

Kayleigh Fite and Krissa Larson each had 14 kills for Central, while Kamryn Juni led Simpson with 17 kills.

Central is now 1-1 and has their home opener Friday against Wartburg. Simpson moves to 1-1 and returns to action Saturday at Loras.
