Marion County Public Health announced due to the drop in COVID-19 cases, they are no longer providing weekly updates with local contract tracing information, and instead will be focusing on updates relating to vaccines going forward.

According to the State of Iowa Coronavirus Database, there have been 17 new positive tests of COVID-19 confirmed since Friday. In total, 3,552 total positive tests have been reported for 3,361 residents, with the Iowa Department of Public Health considering 3,094 to be recovered. A 67th death due to COVID-19 was reported in the past week. Two Marion County residents are hospitalized with the virus. According to the State of Iowa database, 1,096 individuals have completed the two-shot vaccine series, with another 3,181 Marion County residents receiving the first dose.
