The Indianola girls basketball team’s season came to a close Tuesday evening on the road in the regional final at Johnston, and will bring back all but one player for next year’s squad. The lone senior in Kendall Clatt however, will be a player that is not easily replaceable. Clatt ended her career with 866 points, 376 rebounds, and 174 made three-point buckets, shooting at a career 40% clip from downtown. Indians head coach Jeff Janssen tells KNIA Sports she meant a lot to the program, and what he will remember most is the time she put in to keep improving her game.
“When you talk about the greatest shooters in Indianola girls basketball history, or even basketball history in general, you gotta mention Kendall Clatt in that conversation. Her ability to shoot the basketball, her consistency, her free throw percentage, everything. What a special career for Kendall, and we’ll be cheering her on for the next four years, she has a bright future ahead of her.”
Clatt is committed to attend Northwest Missouri State next year and play for the women’s basketball team.
