pleasantville-3

Pleasantville’s boys’ basketball team will look to improve their record from this past season, and Mason Scheve emerged as their leader during 2020-21.

Scheve led the way for the Trojans averaging 20 points per game while shooting 44% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc. Scheve also had two 30-point games during the season coming against Des Moines Christian and Interstate-35. Against Des Moines Christian, Scheve also had eight three-pointers, which was one off from a school record.

What Pleasantville needs to find is a second scoring option, which they lacked last season. The only other starter returning for the Trojans is Junior Taylon Mount, who was second on the team in three-point shooting, knocking down 35% of his threes.
