The unofficial results are in for the special election for Indianola mayor, with a current margin of eight votes electing Pam Pepper to continue filling the position after being appointed by the council in October. Over 1,400 votes were cast in the election for three candidates:

Pam Pepper – 678
Stephanie Erickson – 670
Michelle Fetters Steen – 130

The vote totals include over 1,000 voters voting in-person Tuesday (1,116), as well as 363 absentee ballots received by the Warren County Auditor’s Office. The results are unofficial, and absentee ballots are valid if postmarked by March 1st.
