The Knoxville School Board will meet in regular session Wednesday. Superintendent Cassi Pearson says the bid packages for the middle school construction project will be discussed in a public hearing.

“We will start out with a public hearing for the bid packages we will be considering. We have 23 bid packages that will wrap up the middle school project. Anyone interested in giving their opinion on those packages, how we split them up, are welcome to do so. At the meeting, the board will look at the recommendation from Boyd Jones, and all the bidders who were the low bid or favorable bid, that recommendation will be given to the board, they’ll have time to discuss it and hopefully approve those packages so we can get into construction at the end of March.”

Also on the agenda is consideration of facilities usage for outside groups, a professional development contract, a class action lawsuit for vaping, among other matters.

The meeting begins Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. inside the Knoxville Schools Administration Building.
