The Pella City Council approved a contract to complete phase one of the Wonder Spelen Miracle Playground at Kiwanis Park.

Assistant City Administrator Corey Goodenow says Hooyer Construction of Pella submitted a bid package including two alternates will total $1,182,072, with the City of Pella handling operations of the upgrades at Kiwanis Park after construction and funding up to $320,000, with Wonder Spelen funding the rest.
