Despite having more kills than its opponents, the Central College volleyball team was swept Thursday night 25-19, 25-9, 25-22 by Nebraska Wesleyan University. Central’s 32 kills came with 25 errors and .060 hitting percentage while the Prairie Wolves only had nine attack errors with 28 kills and .184 hitting percentage. The Dutch also had 12 reception errors.
Setter Amanda Smith notched a double-double with 24 assists and 10 digs. For the fourth match in a row, outside hitter Krissa Larson led the team with nine kills. Landry Luhring had a team-high 13 digs.
Making her debut, outside hitter Gracie Daniels had six kills, five digs and two service aces. Middle hitter Kayleigh Fite also had six kills.
Central hosts Loras College Saturday night at 7 p.m. in P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium.
