For the Twin Cedars Girls Basketball Squad to win the Bluegrass Conference title next season, Coach Trent Verwers says they need to put in the work. He tells KNIA/KRLS Sports while most of the girls will be playing softball, with several lofty goals this summer, a little work with the basketball over the summer months will go a long way in the winter.
Verwers:
“That doesn’t mean go in 2 hours every day in the summer, but just 30 minutes three times a week would mae a big difference, and that might be the difference we need to be a championship school.”
The Sabers finished in a tie for 3rd place in the conference this season with a 7-3 record and an overall mark of 11-11.
