The Knoxville Bowling Squads were young this season. Just two seniors between the boys and girls but that did not stop the Panthers from contending in most of their meets this season. Coach Shaun Renard tells KNIA/KRLS Sports knew the scores may be lower this year, but their hard work and improvement was the most impressive thing he noticed about his team.
Renard:
“The talent we lost last year and the kids we had returning this year, we knew the scores wasn’t going be as high, but I’m proud of what the kids accomplished and what they did to end the year.”
The two seniors are from the boys Kyler Reidel, and from the girls squad Saphyre McCombs. McCombs was the leader in total pins with 2,684, Paige Lundington had a high game with 194 and also had the season’s highest series with 335. For the boys, Robert Sloan had the most pins at 3,109, Reidel had the highest game at 247, he also had the high series 402.
