The Knoxville High School junior class is fundraising for this year’s after prom. Typically, students would raise $10,000-$15,000 over the course of six months, but this year, it’s a two-month effort.
Four fundraising events are scheduled, including two next week. Parents received an email about a fundraiser through Nick’s Greenhouse. Those orders must be turned in to the high school office by Tuesday. Applebee’s in Pella has a special fundraising menu available on Tuesday, where 50 percent of proceeds from food orders will go toward the after prom fund. Online donations can be made at GiveButter.com, and a trivia night will be held Saturday, March 27th at the Knoxville Armory. High school junior Charlee Heffron encourages everyone to get involved however they can to help give students a great after prom.
“The students would really appreciate if we could have a great after prom, especially after a weird year with COVID. It would really mean a lot to us.”
