The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Red Rock have announced opening dates for seasonal recreational facilities.

Red Rock Archery Range: March 18
Howell Station Campground: April 15
Ivans Campground: April 22
Wallashuck Campground: April 22
North Overlook Campground: April 22
Whitebreast Campground: April 22
Fifield Recreation Area: April 15
South Overlook Recreation Area: April 15
Marina Cove: April 15
Whitebreast Beach: May 20
North Overlook Beach: May 20

The North Overlook Campground will be closed for a portion of the camping season (May 16-August 31) to replace outdated restroom/shower house facilities. According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, a full closure of the campground is necessary due to only one shower house and no other facilities for campers to use during construction. The new facility will feature six unisex private entry rooms and be similar to the facility recently installed at the North Overlook beach.

Reservations will no longer be made at entrance stations and campers must book spots online at RECREATION.GOV or by calling (877) 444-6777.
