Vermeer Corporation aims to be a resource for the community as COVID-19 vaccination supplies become more widespread.

Vice President and Chief Information Officer David Corbin says after setting up a clinic in the Vermeer Global Pavilion Friday in collaboration with Marion County Public Health and Pella Regional Health Center staff, they have the capability to administer thousands of shots weekly — as long as supply increases to that level.

In the meantime, Corbin is hopeful the community will continue to adhere to CDC guidelines in the hopes that the spring and summer of 2021 will be more normal than 2020. Governor Kim Reynolds and Lt. Governor Adam Gregg visited the site on Friday afternoon and met with leaders from Marion County Public Health and Vermeer. In total, 700 additional residents received a dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
