After a season where Pleasantville’s boys basketball team struggled to score, the Trojans will be looking to improve their three-point shooting for next season.
Pleasantville had two players that shot 34% or better from three-point range, who were Mason Scheve and Taylon Mount. Even though both players will be returning, coach Tom Wilkins would like to see his team be more aggressive from beyond the arc.
“We gotta get some more scorers. We were always looking for the second scorer to go along with Mason (Scheve) and on some nights Caylor Clark provided that. But we also needed that third scorer that will knock in ten, 12 points per game. Some of these kids will get the opportunity to play next year.”
With Scheve and Mount returning, the Trojans will try to be more efficient from beyond the arc to win more games in 2021-22. The Trojans finished 8-14 with a substate quarterfinal loss to Des Moines Christian.
