The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad will have to say goodbye to six seniors from this season’s squad. Cael Peterson, Jaxon Zuck, Kieren Nichols, Mike Hudson, Keegan Cox, and Spencer Hixson all contributed to this year’s 13-8 record. Interim Coach Matt Ritchhart tells KNIA/KRLS Sports this group not only gave a lot to basketball but the rest of the sports at Knoxville and other activities.

Ritchhart:
“It’s no shortage of experience on varsity teams. These seniors that we’re losing and they’ve meant a lot to a lot of people and it’ll be sad to see them go.”

Ritchhart adds this class was special to him because he got to coach them on the junior varsity level not only in basketball, but also in football as well. Ritchhart adds there will be competition for starting and playing spots in the rotation next season.
