Knoxville FFA students competed in contests at the district convention on Saturday. Five students advanced to state with their Experience The Action performance. The team of Josie Brooks, Samara Staton, Shaylyn Black, Cassie Brooks, and Bailey Finken earned a gold rating, and will compete at the state contest in April. Brooks says the purpose of Experience The Action is to encourage participation in FFA.

“We perform a skit with a few other officers and other members. The skit is to get more people involved, and it’s really fun.”

Ashley Kearney competed in Public Speaking, and received a silver rating.
