The Knoxville City Council will select a firm to recruit city manager candidates at its meeting today. Mayor Brian Hatch says council members have reviewed proposals in preparation for the selection.
“Monday at the council meeting, after reviewing those over the weekend, they’ll make a decision on what firm they would like to pick, which direction they’d like to go in starting that hiring process. From what I can see, most of them look like a three to four-month process in hiring that position.”
Also on the agenda is the acceptance of bid, awarding a contract, and approving the certificate of insurance for the 2021 street improvement project. They’ll also consider a financial contribution towards a Marion County Development Commission Target Industry Analysis and Strategy Study.
The Knoxville City Council meeting begins at 6:15 p.m. in the Knoxville Public Library, with no audience allowed. It’ll also air live on 95.3 KNIA.
