Formal consideration of the 2022 fiscal year budget will be held at this Tuesday’s Pella City Council meeting.

On March 2nd, Assistant City Administrator Corey Goodenow says the council approved the maximum property tax rate at $10.20 per $1,000 for the 20th consecutive year.

This week, the council will review the overall proposed budget to submit to the State of Iowa Treasurer’s Office, which Goodenow says was already discussed at work sessions in February, with approximately $41 million in expenses projected starting this July, which is near normal.
