Norwalk girls basketball freshman Ava Johnson was a key player on this year’s roster, and earned 2nd team All-Little Hawkeye Conference honors for her performance. She started all but two games, and made an impact right away when the season started, notably scoring 10 points in her debut.

She was third on the team with 207 total points scored, good for a 9.4 per game average. Her 6.0 rebounds per game were second on the team, and sixth most in the conference. She was also one of the best defensive players with nearly a block per game.

Norwalk finished 12-11 overall and 8-6 in conference play.
