Work is continuing on a long-term road project in Knoxville, as crews have resumed work on Highway 14 through town. Interim City Manager Heather Ussery says this phase will continue through early April.

“People may have started to see the cones out there as it’s getting warmer. The DOT is out there starting the project back up for the spring. The patching started last Friday, and that’ll be a three-week process. After that, they’ll start with permanent striping and the final signal work.”

Traffic is occasionally diverted to the center turn lane. Motorists are reminded to use extreme caution and patience while navigating this area. Hear more about this project and other city affairs on today’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
