Knoxville Hospital & Clinics and 21st Century Rehab are bringing back in-person workshops, with TMJ being discussed on April 13th. Physical Therapist Dr. Brooke Shelquist explains this workshop will be about jaw issues.

“TMJ is your temporomandibular joint. You have two of them, and they’re in your jaw. With TMJ, you can have TMD, which is temporomandibular dysfunction. That’s when you typically have pain. If you do have pain, there’s some things that physical therapy can do. Posture is a big one, and other things are very important to point out.”

This workshop is for people experiencing headaches, ear, facial, jaw or neck pain, jaw locking or popping, or teeth clenching and grinding. The workshop is Tuesday, April 13th at 5:30 p.m., and is limited to the first 10 people who register.
