With more girls out for track and field at Twin Cedars, Coach Cam Parker knows his team will be more competitive in meets this season. 17 girls are out this season and he thinks his team has a chance to finish in the top three of most meets including the Bluegrass Conference.
Parker:
“I could at least see us getting a top 3 finish at conference this season. We have some pretty good athletes and numbers to go along with those athletes, and competing in those meets in the top 2 or 3 at the end.”
Parker says the strength of the team will be in the middle distance and distance events with many of the girls from the cross country squad this fall. Parker adds they likely are not going to win every meet but to at least be in the running is a better outlook than in the seasons past.
