The City of Indianola passed the FY2022 budget at their meeting Monday, including three new firefighter/EMS positions, a rental/code inspector position, and funds for the city capital improvement projects such as the Downtown Streetscape Project and Water Resource Recovery Facility. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the new firefighters are part of a multi-year program since a staffing study in 2017 to hire more public safety officers for the growing city.
