A goal set for last year’s Indianola girls track squad was not only to make the state meet, but to break records on their points scored at the state meet. With the 2020 season lost to the COVID-19 pandemic, not just the meets and opportunities to show off their hard work on the track was sent to the wayside. Senior Rayna Sickels tells KNIA Sports with the competition was lost last year, the camaraderie between teammates is something she will look extra forward to this year.
“I’m looking forward to not only all of our meets, but especially the ride home when everyone is in a good mood and all pumped up and singing to whatever we have going on. And we are all super close.
Five Indianola girls track seniors were featured on this week’s Radio Sports Page on KNIA, and KNIAKRLS.com. Listen to the full interview below.
