The winter sports season for Indianola High School was successfully completed with no major delays, disruptions, or cancellations to the schedule for boys and girls basketball, boys swimming, and wrestling. Activities Director Lee Nelson tells KNIA News his department focused on not only the safety procedures during the actual events, but to keep all the teams active in practice, travel, and in school. Lee also said the guidelines laid out by Warren County Public Health and the Little Hawkeye Conference were well adhered to by the public.
“I know the limiting of fans was frustrating for some people, but I think when you sit back and think that the alternative is not being able to play, those things became not as important. So definitely people that were frustrated by it, everyone was, but I think we got to the end and that was due to everyone following the guidelines we set forth.”
