The Knoxville Girls Track and Field Squad will have several runners and throwers this spring, but the most important person in the mix is a person that will not see any action, but will be a large part of the Panthers. Norah Pearson was slated to run in the 1500 and 3000, plus a couple of relay events. However, she will not be available at all this season due to a knee injury suffered during the basketball season. Coach Michael Splavec tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, Pearson has been at many of the early season practices, and the girls appreciate her support.

Splavec:
“She’s been super great to have out there. She’s a wonderful supporter and the girls appreciate her yelling at them and supporting what they’re doing.”

Pearson was planning to split time between soccer and track and field this spring, but will not be able to participate in either due to her injury. The Knoxville Girls Track Squad will be its season underway April 1st at Clarke.
