Only six boys are out for Twin Cedars Track and Field this season, which makes it difficult to put together a team that will contend for any team titles. However, Coach Marty Duffy tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he does have enough to spread the wealth on the field events and put together some relays.

Duffy:
“We’ll have the sprint medley team and also have individuals in the hurdles and field events and we’ll just make do with what we have.”

Duffy adds the group is young this season with the only upperclassman being Andrew Freel and was voted the team captain. The Sabers get the season underway this Thursday with a non-scored meet at Albia.
