The Pella School Board is holding a public hearing for the fiscal year 2021-22 budget at their meeting today.
The board will consider publishing spending limits and the proposed property tax rate for the upcoming academic year, which will remain at $14.60 per $1,000.
A resolution authorizing the redemption of general obligation school bonds is also on the agenda, as is an update about COVID-19 in the district. The Iowa Department of Education announced Friday Iowa Schools are set to receive $775 million in COVID-19 relief funds from the American Rescue Plan Act.
